I liked the location, its close to the ferries, bus station, there are taxis and tuk tuks right outside. The food was good, there was a wide variety and it tasted good. The staff in the restaurants were friendly and food came on time.

I like ROTANA, the bathrooms are clean and well designed, towels are white and clean, food is nice except chefs needs to be more flexible for food on demand for self service. I am a regular customer, mostly recommend to most of my visitors.

We had a amazing time at this beautiful hotel with full of amazing people! The service and food was exceptional . The room was super nice and very clean. We had lunch or dinner every day at the hotel and it was perfect. After dinner we went in to the cigar lounge where we meet nice people and had some really nice African cigars,where we also meet the German general manager of the hotel. This hotel have a very nice ambiance where very good trained and friendly staff make sure you really enjoy your stay. A big thanks also to the general manager who’s always around and makes our stay perfect so we don’t want to leave.

The hotel staff was very friendly especially Baraka - reception, Baraka - waiter, Frank & Edinah at the reception. Everyone at the hotel was pleasant. The hotel rooms were very spacious & beautiful. The hotel view is gorgeous.

The hotel was wonderful. 1st class all the way without being super expensive. Very comfortable, elegantly decorated with all the facilities you can ask for; lounges, several restaurants, spa, lovely outdoor pool area. The rooms were very comfortable. It was a great place to unwind at the end of our travels in Tanzania. The location was good. Not too far from the airport, overlooking the water in a lively area of town. The breakfast buffet was amazing! The entire staff was very professional and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there and highly recommend this hotel. It’s obvious they have put a lot of attention into making this a wonderful place to stay.

This hotel is ideally situated if you are catching the ferry to Zanzibar - just out side the main gates. It has all the facilities you would expect from a five star hotel and very comfortable. We had a mini suit, high up overlooking the sea and the views of the harbour are great. The restaurant and bar serve good value food and drinks. When staying here make sure you have all the supplies you need as there are very few outlets around to stock up. It’s built on the site of six redeveloped blocks, so maps in books are out of date for this area.

The service is exceptional. It gives you a proper 5 star experience. From beautiful rooms to friendly staff, Rotana is the place to stay. A few of the staff members that went over and above service are Ramadan at the restaurant, Valentine, Awadhi, Emmanuel, Najma, Norbert. They made me and my family feel like VIP 😀

A well appointed large business hotel near the port of Dar es Salaam. Easily accessible. Staff were attentive, liked the service, the poolside bar and restaurant on 8th floor is a must and beautiful breakfast setup and variety. Of most note - i forgot my phone in the room as i went to checkout. An alert housekeeper saw it and ensured i got it before I completed checkout....that was appreciable.

Location to the ferry is why we booked this hotel. It's literally right across the street and there are porters at the gate of the hotel to assist you with your luggage and help you do all the things needed to get on the boat. Breakfast was great, staff were great, rooms were great, sauna was great and gym was well equipped. One thing that was fantastic was the power outlets were all universal outlets.
